RNLI Art Show 2024
North Devon Yacht Club, Instow – 19 & 20 October 2024

Theme: Time and Tide
“To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the RNLI, our theme is inspired by time… capturing a moment; the changing weather and seasons; the movement of the tides and rivers… it is open to your personal interpretation.”

This annual exhibition is run by RNLI Appledore Guild, in order to raise funds to support the Lifeboat Rescue Service. It takes place at The North Devon Yacht Club. It comprises of original artwork, prints and cards and we invite artists from across Devon and Cornwall to participate.

Artists are invited to submit up to four pieces of original work and five prints – submissions to the exhibition are free. If selected, there is an exhibiting fee of £10 per artist (payable on drop off day by cash). Please note, we may select one, two or three pieces but the fee for exhibiting remains the same.

Work will be for sale – the RNLI will process the payments and take 25% commission.

Open Call: 1st June – to all artists in Devon & Cornwall, excluding photography
Deadline for submissions: 19th August
Artists notified: early September
Delivery of artworks to: Instow Yacht Club on Thursday 17th October between 5-7pm
Private view: Friday 18th October, 7pm
Artist Social: Saturday 19th October, 5pm
Exhibition Dates: Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th October, 10-5pm
Collection of unsold work: Sunday 22nd October, 6-7pm

Please take a photo of the artwork straight on in bright natural light. If photos are good enough quality, we will use them in social media posts to advertise the event, with a credit to you. Please title your images:

The deadline is 19th August 2024, and we will notify successful applicants by early September.

The annual RNLI Art Show is organised by RNLI Appledore Guild on behalf of Appledore Lifeboat and is curated by Lee Holman & Wendy Harrison.
